Florine Virginia Hasty

1930 - 2015

Florine V. Hasty of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on Friday September 11, 2015. She was 84 years old. Florine was born in Chattahoochee, Florida on September 22, 1930.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lamar Hasty; children, Virginia Stuckey (Jimmy), Cindy Hasty (Joel Hudson), Van Hasty (Cindi); grandchildren, Shannon, Jared, April, Tiffany, Jason and Jennifer. She has eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Ashton, Fay, Sean, Brittany, Shelbi, Zachary and Zoe'. She is also survived by a sister Shirley Williams of Colorado Springs, CO.

She is preceded in death by her son, Herbert L. Hasty Jr.; parents, Vander & Mattie Bell Joyner; two brothers, Lloyd Earl Joyner (Slim), Jack Joyner and one sister, Louise Hoffman.

Florine was a graduate of Pensacola High School in 1949. She retired from Greenhut Construction Company after 25 years as a bookkeeper. She loved camping, fishing, cooking and above all taking care of her family.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the special care given to our wife and mother by Angie Brooks and Anita Weaver. We would also like to than Sharon Blom of Baptist Hospital who provided comfort to our wife and mother in her final hours, along with Chaplain Matt Brunoehler.

A celebration of her life will be held September 18, 2015. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, with services immediately following. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
