He was a graduate of Attleboro High School, class of 1979. Upon graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, stationed in various locations such as Japan, Gaum, Korea, Washington D.C., Colorado, and lastly, Wyoming. Throughout his career, he was promoted up the ranks to MSGT and was recognized with several service awards. Frank was always incredibly proud to have served his country, and after 21 years of dedication and service, he ultimately retired in 2001. After retiring from the United States Air Force, he was employed by Sandy Sansing Nissan in Pensacola, FL.
Frank enjoyed his retirement to the fullest and used his time productively to focus on his many hobbies and projects. He enjoyed spending time at the beach collecting shells with his wife, boating and jet skiing in the Gulf, and fishing- especially for his bird friend Harriet, who would come every day to hang out looking for a fish or two. He had an endless love for their fur babies, especially Izzy, who never left his side during his illness. He maintained his connection to the military by volunteering with the USO NAS Pensacola, which brought him great pleasure to give back. Frank was also involved with the Men’s group at Lillian First United Methodist Church in Lillian, AL.
Frank was a true lover of life and never took a day for granted. He was a facilitator, voice of reason, giver, and an all-around great guy. Those that were lucky enough to make friends with him, knew and appreciated how he embodied the term loyal comrade as he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was one of a kind. Frank will never be forgotten but forever be remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Collectively, as a family, we would like to thank Covenant Care Hospice for their kindness and care during these last few weeks.
A private celebration of life will be held in Frank’s memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be sent to USO NAS Pensacola P.O. Box 33135 NAS Pensacola, FL 32508.
