I was SKIP'S first wife, Tony's mom. Skip was a good police officer, and a good person. I had seen him a few times over the years. I was so sad to hear of his death, and wish I could be there, but it would be physically hard for me to go, so Tony went back to bury his Dad.

I also worked with Skip at Pensacola Police for 20 years. He always had a smile for everyone, and tried to defuse bad situations we were handling with humor. He always told jokes in lineup or muster. I remember him as a kind gentle person who never lost his cool on duty. I was one of the officers that helped him tear down the shed in his back yard, and enjoyed it. He wouldn't let us leave that day before offering us dinner at Golden Corral. He will be missed greatly.

I worked with Skip at PPD. He was a good officer and a great man. I have many fond memories of him. What I remember most is he always had a smile for you. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I will keep his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.

Wesley, I'm sorry to hear of your dad passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Skip was a wonderful person and friend to me. He shared many stories with me about his family. He was proud and loved each of you dearly. I last spoke and saw him last Sunday when he was there to help me in a stressful situation. I'm very thankful to have known Skip. He reminded me so much of my father whom has passed. I will definitely miss him. I know he is in a better place now. Rest in peace my friend. I love you.

Skip Miller was a very complicated man, but definitely a beautiful, generous person. No question he was loved by many, especially his family. Skip’s children and grandchildren were everything to him and he showed it daily in many ways. With hugs, encouraging words, and unconditional support and love. Our hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of Skip, but filled with comfort knowing he is with Elsie in a joyous place. The many loving memories were spent with Skip: holidays, birthdays, and just everyday gatherings. Most very loud but filled with love and laughter will always be with us.
My personal relationship with Skip has been an adventure and always exciting. We were always sparing about something, sometimes heatedly, sometimes with laughter. However, there was always love between us. When our family had reason to celebrate Skip was there, when we had tragedy Skip was there. The same went when Skip celebrated or was faced with a difficult challenge we were there for him.
Skip Miller may be gone but I see many wonderful memories being shared often, keeping his memory fresh and alive in our hearts with so much love. Rest in peace Skip we love you dearly.

Papa is truly a legend. From driving my sister and I around on the tractor at the Barn, to the countless pairs of “hog sloppin boots”, to the crazy birthday cards, to buying me Velcro school shoes just because mom said no, to all the times we went fishing when I was just a kid, and to all the times he was there to love us unconditionally; Papa will always live in the countless memories I have of him. I’ll never forget all the times we went to breakfast with Dad at the Corral, or all the Thursday nights at Cracker Barrel. Ill think of you every time I see a paper rose. I’ll never forget all the times I said I loved you and you’d say you loved me most. You’re not here to banter with me about it anymore so I’ll go ahead and cut to the chase Papa, I still love you the mostest.

Papa "Skip" Miller was one of the nicest men you could have met. Skip served the citizens of the City of Pensacola as a Police Officer for over 25 years. Skip retired from the Pensacola Police Department in 2001. Skip had three children: Tony, Wesley, and Dale. There were many family events spent at Dale's house which Skip enjoyed. There were many dinners at the Golden Corral with Dale and other family members. There isn't enough room on this post to mention all the wonderful things Skip did for the community, his friends, and his family. If there was anything you needed, Skip would find out how to help you or would purchase it for you.

This is a difficult time for the family. Skip's friends and family members know the true people who were so valuable in his life. You will be missed dearly Papa Skip. However, we can all be at peace knowing you are in a better place.
