Uncle Fritz and Aunt Charlene gave me a doll from one of the ports they were stationed at – one of the Asian ports, possibly.
She has a little masks to wear.
I don’t know why I was chosen to get such a special little doll. I still have that little girl and will now cherish more than ever.
A little humor:
We were at grandma and grandpa’s house in Holly Colorado.
We were all very young.
Betty, La Dona and I were all seated at a small table -probably in the driveway outside. It was the old house in a Holly.
We were arguing who was the ‘prettiest.’
I remember Uncle Fritz came and told us we were “all beautiful.” That ended the argument and we three girls are still besties!
One more.....We were at One of the races that he managed for Hooters. I remember seeing some really cute guys and asking if I could get my picture taken.
With his authority, he told several guys to ‘line up and take a picture with his niece.’
I still appreciate those early photos of those racers under his direction being led to take a photo with a “niece!”
What an Amazing Dad and Uncle!
Rest in peace Uncle Fritz.
I Love You
Karen
