Pensacola - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gemma Mae Stanley on the eighteenth of April 2018. Just three years young, Gemma was born on the fifteenth of April 2015 to parents Crystal and Thomas Stanley. She courageously battled a very rare congenital syndrome known as CCHS affecting only 1200 children worldwide. A born fighter from day one, Gemma's life was not marred by her health; she experienced it with a curiosity and attentiveness beyond her years. Spunky, vibrant, and fully aware of her charm and its affect on others; she positively impacted and touched everyone who had the privilege of meeting her. Surrounded by pure love all of her days, she shall always
be remembered for her beauty, grace, strength and perfect soul.
Gemma Mae Stanley is survived by her mother and father, Crystal and Thomas Stanley; grandparents, Ruby and Patrick DeLong, John Oliva, Angel Johnson, William Thomas Stanley, Sr. and wife Angela Wilcox Stanley; Great Grandparents, Jean and Juan Mantanona, Robert Williams, Patsy and Steve Johnson, Sr., Anne and Richard Stanley and Richard DeLong Sr.; Godparents Richard and Sandy DaVico, as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, her caring nurses and healthcare professionals. Her Celebration of Life will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens at 1985 West Nine Mile Road Pensacola, FL on the 21st of April with a 9 o'clock Viewing and 10 o'clock Service. It is the wishes of the parents that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The CCHS Foundation, in honour of Gemma's memory.
