Jessica & family - I am very sorry your loss. Jessica, I only met your father in passing & I remember him as quiet & gentle. Reading the comments here I can tell he was an amazing man who will be remembered fondly. I often think of how we both got so into Dar Williams when you moved out to San Diego & how cool I thought it was that we learned about her thru your dad. ❤

George was on the Search Committee when I interviewed for my job at UWF. He later told me I was head and shoulders above the rest of the candidates...but that I shouldn't get the big head because the rest of them were a bunch of losers. Thanks, George, for keeping me grounded. I can still see you, eyes closed and eyelids fluttering, telling us you weren't sure what we wanted you to do could be done...and then doing it. Ahhh, the good old days...

I only knew George for a short while at work, and partnered with him during training once. He was quiet, but had a great sense of humor. He also had several pretty cool stories to tell about rock concerts that he had attended. I am sure he will be greatly missed

I grew up with George in CT, attending school with him from grade school through Yale. He was one of my best friends, and I missed him when our lives went separate ways after college. He was a great guy: funny, smart, and kind. I thank him for his service to our country. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
