Geraldine Barrow McNorton, age 87 of Pensacola, passed away on April 11, 2014. She was born in Hornorville, AL. Mrs. McNorton was a member of Bellview Baptist Church and Eastern Star Chapter 9. She also retired from Monsanto (Chemstrand) after 33 years of service. She also owned her own beauty shop for 7 years. She loved fishing, gardening, hunting, riding her tractor, staying at her property in Uriah, going to church and enjoying life and also loving all her family and friends. Mrs. McNorton was preceded in death by her husband John Blackwell and Leo McNorton; father, James Douglas Barrow; mother, Verna Inez Lowe; brothers, Robert, Earl and Paul; sister, Eva Jackson; sons, Malcolm and James Blackman. Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Jeannia Threlkeld, Juanita Bradley; grandchildren, Miranda Bradley, Tonyia (John) Pendleton, LaSonjia (Scott) Bolser, Donna (Chuck) Myrick, Eva (George) Peaden; great grandchildren, Kathy Pendelton, Crystal Penleton, John Pendleton II, Cara Myrick, Amber Peaden, Ryan Bosler; great-great grandchild, Ethan Cooke; sisters, Barbara Tindel, Shirley Dixon, Anna Jewel Parks. Pallbearers will be John Pendleton, John Pendleton II, Nick McGhee, Matt Mason, George Peaden and Chuck Myrick. Visitation will be at Geraldine’s house at 5950 Dallas Ave. Pensacola, FL 32526 from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
