Gerard was the cherished son of the late Aubrey and Jewell Vallia. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Kenny Vallia, and his dear sister, Joy Vallia, whom he now joins in heaven.
He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Kay (Jack) Slocum, Larry (Mary) Vallia, Mary Gay Powell, Paul "Bo" (Robin) Vallia, and Cathy Ricks, as well as his nine nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Gerry was a kind soul who deeply loved his family and appreciated the simple blessings of life. His quiet strength, warmth and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral mass will begin at 9:30 AM on Thursday, January 8th at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton, FL. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Majella House Charity or Vitas Hospice Care in his honor.
May Gerard rest in peace and rise in glory.
