Hayward B. Myrick

Hayward B. Myrick of Pensacola, FL passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 90 years old. He was born on December 7, 1934 in Pensacola, FL where he grew up. He graduated from Pensacola High School.

He worked many years at Armstrong World, where he was joined in the workforce by numerous family members, including at least seven cousins, before his retirement after 38 faithful years. During his free time, Hayward enjoyed countless hours spent hunting and fishing, and volunteered as a baseball coach for the Northeast Pensacola Ballpark at Ensley Field.

He is preceded in death by his son Lamont, daughter Teresa, loving wife of 55 years, Gwen L. Myrick, Mother Blanch Worroll Myrick, Father Cecil Myrick.

Hayward was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Kathy (Roy) Emley, Son Jeff A. Myrick, Sister Wenester (Gorden) Wallis, Granddaughter Amanda (Bowen) Robinson (Lucy Robinson, Patrick Robinson). Grandson Shawn (Katie) Emley (Harper Emley, Luke Emley).

Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 am, October 17, 2025, with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 PM and interment at Eastern Gate Memorial Park to follow. Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering at the home of Kathy and Roy Emley after the service at 4064 Elmcrest Drive, Pensacola, FL 32504.
