Helen Waldrop White, of Robertsdale, Alabama, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 93.
Helen was a woman who could not be easily forgotten. She was feisty, loving, strong, and wonderfully stubborn—a woman who knew what she believed and was never afraid to stand her ground. Beneath that determined spirit was a heart filled with love for her family, and those who knew her best will remember her for the strength, warmth, humor, and love she brought into their lives.
Helen was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, and her faith was an important part of who she was throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hugh S. White.
Helen leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her daughter, Vicki Wilson (Grady); her son, Bill White (Ann); granddaughters Amy Maddox and Lisa Hunt (Rich); great-grandchildren Dana Sands (Dave), Alex Hunt (Brenda), Sara Hunt, and Zhamel Maddox; and great-great-grandchildren Alex-Marie, William, and Hazel.
Her family was her greatest legacy. Through five generations, Helen’s love, strength, and unmistakable personality will continue to live on in those who were fortunate enough to call her Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Great-Great-Grandma.
She lived 93 years, loved fiercely, stood strong, and left her mark on the people around her.
Helen will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the family she loved so well.
“Her children arise and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28
