Henry Vernon Rothe Jr.

Henry V. Rothe, Jr., USN, Retired, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on November 3, 2017 at the age of 89. Henry served proudly in the United States Navy for 23 years and achieved the rank of Senior Chief Ships Serviceman (SHCS).

Mr. Rothe is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Annette; son, Hal Rothe and his wife Karen of Jackson, MS; daughter, Terri Bruno and her husband Ted of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Karen Blackburn and her husband Jeb of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Kim Williamson and her husband Clay of Cameron, TX; sister, Wanda Straiton; brother, Glen Rothe; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Henry was a loving and strong husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Henry was a passionate man who enjoyed his family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching Alabama football.

The family will have a graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 07, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. The cortege will depart the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
