Isaac David Chapa, age 45, passed away on October 15, 2026. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, fellow servicemen, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Born on January 25, 1981, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Isaac later graduated from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He went on to serve his country as an Airborne Medic with the U. S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division, completing tours in Afghanistan. Throughout his military service, Isaac demonstrated courage, dedication, and a commitment to the soldiers who served alongside him. His service and sacrifice will forever be honored and remembered.
Beyond his military service, Isaac was a man with a wide range of interests and a personality all his own. He had a deep appreciation for food and enjoyed exploring cuisines of all kinds. He found adventure in rock climbing and entertainment in anime, but he also had a playful side that could not be contained. Whether enjoying his favorite interests or creating his own dance circle, Isaac had a way of bringing his individuality and energy into the lives of those around him.
To his family, Isaac was more than a son or brother. He was part of a shared history, a lifetime of memories, and a bond that death cannot erase. Those who knew him carry the memories of their time together and the knowledge that he will always be a part of their lives. Though we must now learn to live without his physical presence, his memory will remain woven into the lives of everyone who loved him.
Isaac is survived by his mother, Maryann Crawley: his father, Gary Crawley: his siblings, Michael Chapa, Matthieu Rodriguez, and Stacey Graham; his nephew, Parker Graham; and his niece, Charlie Graham. He will also be deeply missed by his fellow servicemen, extended family, and many friends across the country whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Ismael Chapa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:00a.m., where family and friends will gather to honor Isaac's life, share memories, and celebrate the person he was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Relief Fund (WWVF.org), which supports veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in honor of Isaac's service and in support of those who continue to carry the invisible wounds of war.
Isaac's life was defined by more than the years he lived or the uniform he wore. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, and a fellow soldier. Though his time with us has ended far too soon, the memories he leaves behind and the lives he touched will endure. He will be loved, missed, and remembered always.
Visitation will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534-9377, on October 22, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
