1940 – 2012
James D. Beasley, 72, of Pace, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 08, 2012 following a brief illness. He was a good and loving husband and father.
James was born January 12, 1940 in Saltillo, Mississippi to David and Pauline Beasley. He retired as the Production Supervisor from Cytec, formerly American Cyanamid, after 37 years of service. James was a member of Windy Hill Baptist Church of which he helped build. He was past chairman of the Building Committee at Windy Hill and an ordained deacon. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
James was preceded in death by his parents, David and Pauline Beasley; and his sister, Mary Ann.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Deloris Beasley; son, James A. “Bo” Beasley; special niece, Luanne Strickland and husband Scott; grandsons, Keith Beasley and Jay Beasley; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jenny Duffy and husband Bob; brother-in-law, Elbert Hall and wife Mariann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Brother David Shofner and Brother Ricky Skaggs officiating.
Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be, Elbert Hall, Bob Duffy, Keith Beasley, Jay Beasley, Matthew Hall, Bill Needham and Bob Jennings.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the funeral home.
