1925 – 2016
James C. “J.C.” Booker went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 27, 2016.
He was born in Jay, Florida on May 15, 1925. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Thomas N. Booker and Mary Warrick Booker, brothers Leonard and Willmar, and a sister, Geraldine.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Marvelle Booker, sisters Kayron Hall, Bernadine Harper and Miley Nims and brother-in-law Green, loving children, James Earl Booker (Phyllis), Linda Allen (William), four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
He served our Lord faithfully, at Cottage Hill Baptist Church for 57 years with his family. Mr. Booker worked at St. Regis Paper Co for 35 years.
Funeral services will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. The wake will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016 and the funeral at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend
Alan Harp officiating. Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the great grandsons.
