I just wanted to know that I am sorry for your loss. Your father was a wonderful person. He taught my daughter, Amy organ and piano, and also played for her wedding at Ferry Pass UMC. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.

Bill and Linda,
I was sorry to hear of your dad's death. He was such a special person to me and to others who had the opportunity to know this wonderful man. I remember the early morning piano lessons that required me getting up earlier, and then the chats we had as he drove me to school on his way to his next lesson. When I announced that I would not be majoring in music/accepting the scholarships offerred to me, I recall the intitial disappointment, and then the smile a the promise I made to him that I would always use my talents in church. I hope he knows that I kept that promise.

I can still recall the music he played at my wedding, and the organ-piano duets that he and Larry Hughes (also a former student of his) also played during the wedding. It meant everything to me to have him present at my marriage.

I'm sorry that I was unable to express my sympathy to both of you in person, but I wanted you to know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers. We have lost a wonderful man, but Heaven has gained another musician! May Mr. Hussong rest in peace.

God blessed hundreds of us by allowing Jim and Margaret Hussong to touch our lives. As our insightful Sunday School teachers they knew Quentin and I would get married before we did. Tireless and giving Christ centered role models are hard to find. We are so grateful this precious man and his wife were there for us. God bless you, Linda, Bill and your families with days of great joy and peace as you remember your parents. Much love,
Cheri (Sumner) and Quentin Henderson

To Mr. Hussong's family: each week faithfully, he drove from Pensacola to sit in our living room in Pace at 6:00 a.m. to teach our daughter Julia before school (only time he had in his schedule). Rachmaninoff before breakfast was a disciplined sacrifice on his part! Many sonata contests and college scholarship auditions later, his memory is cherished and his legacy is that she has served as a church pianist, as well. May the Good Lord bless and comfort you in his passing...Loving Prayers, Dave & Cindi Elliott (parents of Julia Elizabeth Elliott Hall, his fortunate student)

Sweet man with a beautiful smile. He was extremely humble and kind. God gained another angel today. He and Ms. Margaret were reunited in heaven.
