James “Jimmy or Popa” Kersey, Sr, age 90 of Pensacola, passed away on Jan. 9, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jessie Kersey; brothers, Cecil and Edward Kersey; two sisters, Florence McCarthy and Doris Hardy. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Barbara Kersey; several children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; brother, David (Merline) Kersey; sister, Betty Ellis; sister-in-law, Alice Kersey. Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan 12, from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, Jan 13 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
