"Jim" died Thursday, July 5. He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Cozzali and Claudia Miller, his grandchildren Sydney and Nathaniel Miller, his two brothers and two sisters: Don Matherly, Gary Buczkowski, Claudia Stolz and Gail Borig, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Jim lived in New York where he retired from the Bell Atlantic Company and the United States Air Force. He retired to Perdido Key, where he became an advocate for the Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce while owning and operating the "Pack, Ship and Shop". Jim's Memorial service will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 11th, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Disabled Veterans of Pensacola in the name of James E. Matherly.
