James N. Perling , 86, passed away on March 14, 2023 at Covenant Care Hospice. James was the husband of Kathleen Perling. They shared 40 years of marriage together, having been married on October 14, 1982.
James was born in Pensacola, Florida to the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Perling. He received his high school diploma through the U.S. Army in 1955. After serving in the Army and working as a plumber, James joined the United Association of steamfitters, pipefitters, and plumbers #366 and #519 Locals on April 7, 1966. He was a member in good standing for over 57 years.
James was of Catholic Faith. He enjoyed spending his spare time bowling and fishing. James will always be remembered for his love of animals and growing the best tomatoes.
James is survived by his wife, Kathleen Perling; one son, Carl Perling (Elizabeth); step daughter, Michele Helton (Joshua).
James was predeceased by his brother, William Perling; and sister, Betty Perling.
James will receive military honors and will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
