

James Warren (Jim) Struck, 84, of Pensacola, FL passed away on December 26, 2019. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family and loved to travel. He will be greatly missed.
Jim was born in Pensacola to Walter Albert and Ruth Monroe Struck on November 11, 1935 in a house his father built on 19th avenue. He served in the US Army (1958-1964) and attended Auburn University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1964.
Jim met his sweetheart, Janet Celene Bailey, in 1956 while he was working at Fisher Pou Funeral Home. Jim knew at first sight he would marry Janet one day. That day came five years later on June 24, 1961.
After graduation, Jim moved his family to Freeport, Texas and began his career with The Dow Chemical Company. When his children were grown, Jim retired from Dow in 1990 and moved back to Pensacola with his wife, Janet, to be closer to his aging parents. He enjoyed spending time on his dock on Perdido Bay and Hosting Family mullet fries by the water.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Struck.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janet Bailey Struck, Of Pensacola; daughters, Tracy Anne Peltier (Buster) and Susan Carol Campbell of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren Carolyn Borger, Alex Borger, Sean Borger, and Dr. Samantha Campbell Fritz; great-granddaughter Marleigh Fritz; sister Betty Graves (Robert); niece Patrice Graves and nephew Jason Graves.
The funeral service was officiated by Jim’s grandson Alex Borger at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on January 3, 2020. Jim was laid to rest at Bayview Memorial Park next to his parents.
