1933 – 2014
James Wendell “Jim” Campbell, Sr., born June 24, 1933, died at his home, Saturday evening, July 26, 2014. He was a native of Northwest Florida, growing up in Laurel Hill, north of Crestview. Dad spent his young adulthood in the Air Force, during the Korean Conflict and after that as a city police officer in Pensacola. After leaving the police force he spent the next 30 years as a truck driver, delivering freight all over this nation.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Campbell, as well as his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his sons, James Wendell Campbell, Jr. (Tami Sue) and Adam Brian Campbell (Veronica). Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Brandon Dean Campbell, Ashley Peyton Campbell, James Austin Campbell and Carmen Blair Walker-Brinza.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday.
