Janet E. Villanueva, age 79, passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, March 30, 2012 in Pensacola, Florida.
She was born on October 28, 1932, in Dover, Delaware. Her parents were Edward and Anna Emberger. She married Guillermo Villanueva on June 18, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The United States Navy brought them to Pensacola in 1964 where they have resided ever since.
She was a proud wife, mother, and Grammy. Janet was a devout Christian and avid gardener who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Guillermo Villanueva. Janet will be missed by her four daughters, Jeanette Niederriter (George), Juanita Edwards (David), Alicia Tucker (Thomas), and Angela Malloy (David). Her three granddaughters, Stephanie Courville, Alyssa Tucker, and Dana Edwards, were blessed to have her love and guidance in their lives.
Visitation will be 9-10 AM Tuesday April 3, 2012, with Funeral services to follow at 10 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home 619 New Warrington Road Pensacola with burial to follow in Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:45 AM.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christopher Rush, Dr. Yira Van Der Linde and the staff of Covenant Hospice for all of their care and support.
