Janis Marie (Howton) Holt January 24, 1928 – September 22, 2018 Heaven received another precious angel at 2:20 AM Saturday, September 22, 2018. Janis was born to Henry and Della Mae Howton in Salem, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Lowell N. Holt, a sister Irene Reeves, and brothers Otis Howton, Herman Howton, and Allen Howton. Janis is survived by her children: Tom Mason (Sandy), Judy Mason Bailey (Bob), and Gary Mason; her grandchildren, Jennifer French (Damien), Kim Lewis (Dave), Stephanie Nicholson (Scott Richards), Todd Mason (Jessica), Gary Mason II, Danny Mason; great grandchildren Ben Vickery, Noah French, Mason Nicholson, Amelia French, Lila Nicholson, Simon French, Samuel Mason, Sawyer Mason, Sutton Mason, & Selah Mason. She is also survived by her sisters Aline Lemmons, Audrey Jones, Elnora Adams and brothers Wilburn Howton and Keith Howton. Janis loved her family and family get-togethers. She was an avid reader and gardener, and she enjoyed discussions on many subjects, especially those on authors, books, history, and the bible. Funeral services will be held at Warrington United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 27th, at 2:00 pm, the family will receive friends and family for visitation one hour prior. Oak Lawn Funeral Home provided funeral services. Many thanks to the incredible care Covenant Hospice at Sacred Heart Hospital provided. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Warrington UMC or Covenant Hospice.
