Jay L. Hammond, USN, Ret. 1947-2015. CTRCS(SW) Jay L. Hammond (aka, Dancing Bear/Foghorn) of the Philippine’s, Pensacola and native of Vermont passed away Saturday, April 4 th 2015. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Jane Hammond and brother Larry Hammond. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Hammond of Erenas Victoria, Northern Samar, Philippines. He is also survived by his sister, Marty Hammond of Springfield, Vermont, brothers, Kent Hammond and wife Melinda of San Jose California, and Norris Hammond and wife Caroline of Hampden, Maine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Oak Lawn Funeral Home starting at 1000, 17 April followed by services at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1230.
