
Mr. Fontaine retired from the American Cyanamid Company with 32 years of service. He enjoyed trains, having built a steam engine locomotive that is operational today. He also loved the Montreal Canadians Ice Hockey Team, classical music, stamp and coin collecting. Family was his true love, having come from a family of 12 children, he truly enjoyed his own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Fontaine was also of the Catholic faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 33 years, Dorothy B. Fontaine; four sons, Luc Fontaine of Phoenix, AZ, Michael (Karen) Fontaine of Pensacola, FL, Mark (Deonna) Fontaine of Jacksonville, FL and Richard Fontaine of Pensacola, FL; three daughters, Jocelyn Chute of Sanger, CA, Danielle (Chuck) Calhoon of Orlando, FL and Peggy (Brian) Pung of Lake Mary, FL; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Andre (Marte) Fontaine of Montreal, Quebec; four sisters, Rachel Caridi of White Plains, NY, Francoise Fannelli of Lake Mary, FL, Suzanne Bolduck of Drummondville, Quebec, and Jeannine Fontaine of Lake Mary, FL; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 10 AM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.
