Jean was born January 23, 1932 in Pensacola, Florida to Frederick Irving Coley and Ethel King Coley. Jean was a lifelong member of Gadsden Street United Methodist Church, where she was a dedicated and faithful servant of our Lord. She was an active member of UMW and a Sunday School Teacher. Jean taught school in the Escambia County School district for 38 years. Her students’ education was of the utmost importance to her; supporting them in their studies to see that they could further their education at a university and achieve their goals.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Harrison; son, Frederick Coley Harrison; parents and sister, Joan Fuller.
Jean is survived by her son, Baruch DJ Coley; grandchildren, Samuel and Sharon Coley; two nephews, John C. Fuller and Frederick C. Fuller; and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Gadsden Street United Methodist Church.
