Jeanne Susan Palmsteen April 23, 1949-October 12, 2020

Jeanne Susan Palmsteen, 71, passed away on October 12, 2020. Born in River Falls, Wisconsin, Jeanne moved to Pensacola in 1971. She worked as a caregiver, was a long-time member of Calvary Church, regularly attending Bible Study and an active leader and member of the Fellowship. It was her nature to take care of others, making best friends from the moment she met you. She enjoyed spending time with her family, drinking coffee, watching the Packers and getting a suntan at the beach.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie Jean and Sheldon Arthur Weiss, husband, Riley Smith King and a brother, Sheldon Dean Weiss. She leaves behind two sons: Christopher David (fiancé Mary) Palmsteen and Eric Michael (Sydney) Palmsteen; brother Terry (Margie) Weiss; sisters: Carol (Don) Gilbert, Shelley Weiss and Wendy (Jody) Videen; grandsons: Tyler (Brooke) Bedsole, Blaine Palmsteen and Nathaniel Palmsteen; granddaughter Natalie Palmsteen and great-grandchildren: Hannah Bedsole and Roman Bedsole.

The family cordially invites friends to attend a visitation on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service at Bayview and internment at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home.

Jeanne was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor. She had a beautiful smile, revealing the light within her. Jeanne was a source of love and inspiration. Her deep love of God was apparent in her actions and words.

I am blessed to have been touched by this wonderful, faithful servant of the Lord. I miss you dearly. Deep condolences to her family and friends.
