JERE LYNN ALLMAN 1934 – 2012

Jere Lynn Allman, 77, of Pensacola, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012. Jere was born in Yorkville, TN on August 05, 1934. He graduated from Everett High School in Lansing, MI in 1953. Jere joined the U.S. Marines in September 1953 for three years and served sixteen months in Korea. He married Mary Janet Grissom on June 01, 1957 in Memphis, TN. Jere worked for Sears Roebuck for 38 years in management and lived in several states. He is survived by his wife, Mary Janet Allman after 54 years of marriage; three daughters, Janet Lynn (Steve) Weston of Pensacola, Leigh Ann (Konrad) Gill of Pensacola and Mary Beth (Bill) Bland of Maben, MS; six grandchildren, Jessi (Joe) Nickelson, Sara Beth (Michael) Weston-Booini, Stacy Lynn (Luke) Weston-Hughes, William Robert (Jesse Clare) Bland III, Cameron Allman Bland and Carly Jan Gill. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Tyler Nickelson, Andrew Nickelson, Drew Elynn Weston and William Robert Bland IV; three sisters, Joann (Lee) Highfill of Memphis, TN, Avis Ann Allman Houghton of MI and Mary Lee Harris of Myrtle Beach, SC. Jere was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church since 1980 and was an Elder. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Hwy., is entrusted with arrangements.
