Jerry Lawrence Eddins

1942-2016

Jerry Lawrence Eddins, 73, of Cantonment, Florida, went to be with the Lord peacefully on August 9, 2016. He was born October 11, 1942 in Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Eddins was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald Lamar and Laura B. Eddins; a brother Steven M. Eddins; and a sister Judy F. Eddins. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathryn Stacey Eddins; his brother Richard (Ann) Eddins; son Randy (Donna) Eddins, daughter Julie (Daniel) Watts, grandchildren: Caleb Eddins, Lauren and Andrew Watts, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He loved spending time with his family, working at the church, fishing and going to the gun range, not to mention his trains and planes.

He served in the Navy for 12 years, retired from Gulf Power after 32 years, and dedicated the rest of his Life in service for the Lord.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:O0-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Victory Assembly of God, immediately followed by a funeral service led by Reverand Jeffrey McKee. The interment will take place following the service at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Shannon and Codey Stacey, Steven and Gerald Brown, Steve Eddins and Eli Bocz, with Andy Goehogan, Dave Watts and Aaron Bocz as Honorary Pallbearers.

Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
