Jerry Robert Pippin
February 2, 1938 – November 15, 2020
On Sunday, November 15, 2020, Jerry Robert Pippin passed away peacefully after an extended illness. He was surrounded by family who loved him deeply.
A loving husband and father of two, Jerry was a devoted Christian, Army Veteran, successful businessman, and avid outdoorsman.
A native of Wewahitchka, Fl., Jerry was preceded in death by his father (W. R. Pippin), mother (Clara Pippin) and four brothers. He is survived by his faithful wife of 63 years Patricia Moseley Pippin, daughter Patricia Jane Westberry (and husband David Westberry), son Jerry Robert Pippin Jr., (and wife Patty Culbreth Pippin), brother Billy Pippin, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was born on February 2, 1938, and married the love of his life, Patricia, on July 21, 1957. After serving his country in Korea, he worked in the Dairy industry for more than 25 years for before leaving to start his own family business.
He was an active member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, having served as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Benevolence Committee, and a former Chairman of the Deacons. He was a member of the Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge 314 in Lynn Haven, having formerly served as Worshipful Master in 1966. He was also a Charter Member of the Pensacola Hadji Masonic Temple.
Jerry was a talented photographer who loved capturing images of family and friends. He loved to be outdoors, and spent many hours working outside in his yard, greenhouse or workshop, or bass fishing on one of his favorite lakes.
A private funeral service for family will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, with the Rev. Lon Roberts and Dr. John Pavlus presiding.
