.Jewel M. Coppock, 94, of Pensacola died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her residence in Broadview Assisted Living. Mrs. Coppock was born in Birmingham, Al, October 12, 1919, and had been a Pensacola resident since 1966, moving here from Mobile, Ala. She was employed by civil service as an accountant until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, David Coppock and his wife Ana, of Mobile, Al; two daughters, Catherine Crowe of Pensacola and Margaret Garner and her husband, Bobby, of New London, N.C.; two sisters, June Beard of Bay Minette, Al, and Sarah Bailey of Daphne, Al.; brother-in-law, Charles Coppock of Pensacola, Dwight Coppock of Knoxville, Tn., sister-in-law Mary Kent of Cullman, Al. and sister-in-law June Coppock of Rainbow City, Al; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Emory and Margaret McCalman, her husband of 56 years, Leroy J. Coppock, grandson Chad Howard of Asheboro, NC, and sister Nellie Burkett. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m., Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
