Joann was born July 31, 1934 in Granite Falls, North Carolina to Iverson Lane and Edna Phillips Lane. She attended Memorial Mission Hospital of Wester North Carolina’s School of Nursing, graduating in 1955. Joann was a voracious reader and was a sweet loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Joann is survived by her children, Sharon Sonenshein, husband, Barry; Jeff Blair, wife Tammy; Cynthia Lunsford, husband Jack (deceased) and Steve Blair, wife Kimberly; brother, Michael Weaver; sisters, Wanda Doak and Brenda Foster; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Joann’s life will be held at a later date.
