John “Jack” Herschel Ackerman, age 75, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born in Springfield, OH to Herschel and Lois Ackerman on December 27, 1942. John retired as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife; Diane Ackerman, children; Lois Hodes, Jack Bouillion, and Janet Quin. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with a funeral service on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. An interment will follow the funeral service at Barrancas National Cemetery. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
