It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Ellis, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and a true pillar of strength. He fought a valiant battle against cancer and passed away on October 15, 2023.
John was not only a dedicated family man but also a hardworking individual who poured his heart and soul into everything he did. His strong work ethic and unwavering determination served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a father to the fatherless and was generous to those in need.
One of John’s most cherished qualities was his remarkable sense of humor. He had an extraordinary ability to lighten up any room with his laughter and witty jokes. His laughter was infectious, and he never failed to bring smiles to the faces of those around him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will forever be etched in our hearts. John is survived by his children: Jonathan Ellis, Amy Ellis, Josh Dean, and Brenna Wilson. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Johnnie Ray Poucher, Zachary Parsons, Alexander Parrish, Benjamin Hooton, Savannah Hooton, and Parker Dean. His memory will continue to touch the lives of many.
A memorial service will be held on October 18, 2023, at 11 am where we will come together to celebrate the life of this remarkable man and bid him a heartfelt farewell.
John Ellis will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the precious memories he created will endure for generations to come. May he rest in peace.
