Beloved husband of 58 years to Vicki L Orth; Loving father of Debbie (Dave) Mashburn, Dawn (Mark) Nicholson, and Amy (Glenn) Dowling; Grandfather of John, Kelly and Matthew Nicholson, Hayley (Jordon) Brown, Abbey, and Mady Dowling; Proud Great Grandfather of Shiloh Brown.
John spent 40 years working for Borg-Warner/Echlin Manufacturing, “Pacer Industries” where he climb the ranks and made lifelong friends before retiring in 2000. He then went to work for Chick-fil-A at the Ridge as General Manager for 15 years. John was brilliant with numbers, incredibly witty and always the life of the party.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida.
