Jonathan was born in Pensacola, Florida on September 3rd, 1977, he was the son of Andrew Leo Lucas II and Colleen Joyce Vally. He attended Escambia High School and graduated in 1996. He was employed by Scapin Electric where he worked for 21 years before having to retire after multiple strokes.
Jonathan was a good man who loved being an electrician, playing his guitar, watching a live band, listening to music, smoking food, and feeding people. You could always find him early in the morning at Murphy’s Gas getting his coffee and a piece of cheese. He will always be remembered for helping out a friend or standing by a smoker waiting for the food to finish so everyone could eat. Man, did he love to have his smoked meat in your mouth. If you ever asked him his age or when he was born he would say “The greatest year 1977, Elvis died, Star Wars was born, the release of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.”
He is survived by Kristie Lucas (44), adopted children Damyen Alexander Swift (17), Adrianna Khalia Gaston (14), Jayda Amiya Gaston (12), Kyree Isaiah Gaston (10), Donald Andrew Gaston IV (5), Sunni’Rose Kayloni Ann Gaston (4), and Zyair Darren Gaston (2), his brothers Andrew Leo Lucas III and his wife Mia Nichole Lucas, Timothy Lawarence Lucas and his wife Shelly Jeannean Lucas and Sister Stephanie Lane Lucas Jackson with husband Stuart Jackson and nieces Alyssa Lucas, Amber Lucas, Anna Lucas, Courtney Gunnell, Ava Jackson, Adeline Jackson, Abigail Bolen, Eeva Koski, Elizabeth Manley, Hannah Bergstrom and nephews Andrew (Drew) Lucas IV, Timothy Lucas II, Stephen Lucas, Alex Steele, Luke Bolen, Michael Manley, Erran Bergstrom.
