Jorge Luis Manrique

Jorge Luis Manrique, age 70, of Pensacola passed away in his home on January 12, 2022. Jorge was born and raised in Malaga, Colombia until the age of 16 when he moved to the United States with his brother, Joaquin. Jorge spent his career as an Aviation Mechanic for the US Navy until he retired. He moved to Pensacola in 1998 and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time surfing the web, being involved in politics, and renovating his rental properties. Jorge had a huge heart and was loved by all who met him. He was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need. Jorge is preceded in death by his parents Jesus Manrique, Maria Teresa Wilches Manrique, and his sister, Ines Sanchez. Jorge is survived by his brothers, Joaquin (Lucero) Manrique, Roberto (Cheryl) Manrique, and Fidel Manrique. Visitation for Jorge will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Graveside at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
