Joseph Francis Simmons, age 91, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Monday July 15, 2019. Joseph was born November 24, 1927 in Brewton, Alabama.

Joseph was a veteran of the Unites States Navy and worked in Civil Service as an HV Electrician for NAS. He was also a member of the Masons.

Joseph was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary and Joseph Simmons; and son, Jake Simmons. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Simmons; son Joseph Simmons; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, 250 Williams Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
