Joye Carson

SEPTEMBER 14, 1927 - APRIL 8, 2011

Joye M. Carson, 83, of Pensacola, lived a full and beautiful life until she became an angel on April 8, 2011.

Joye was born in Valentine, Montana, and spent the majority of her adult life in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she worked at Stebbins and Roberts Paint Manufacturing Company as a receptionist and bookkeeper. She and her husband, Vick Carson, retired to Pensacola in 1991 to be near their daughter, Vicki Carson.

Joye was preceeded in death by her parents, Theodore and Lillian Brooks, her sister, Loretta Oakland, and brothers, Eddie Brooks, and Lee Allen.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, V.W. (Vick) Carson, and her daughter, Vicki Carson, both of Pensacola.

Joye was a loving wife and mother, and was kind to everyone she met. Joye loved plants and gardening, birds, and all animals.

Oaklawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Pensacola; 5 North Q. Street; Pensacola, FL 32505.
