Judy Lynn Holloway

Judy was the cherished daughter of Howard and Mary Dell Register. She grew up alongside her brothers, Jimmy, David, and Gary, and was the last surviving member of her generation in the Register family—a role she carried with grace and pride.

After graduating from Graceville High School, Judy’s path led her to Bethel Assembly of God, a church founded by her future husband Mike’s grandfather. Her cousin brought her to church to introduce her to another young man, but fate had other plans. Mike was immediately captivated by Judy, and their connection quickly blossomed. Their love story was swift and sincere, culminating in a joyful wedding at Springhill Methodist Church on August 29, 1970.

Together, Judy and Mike built a loving home and began a new chapter in Tuscaloosa, where they attended the University of Alabama. Judy’s passion for education shone brightly as she completed her degree in Early Childhood Development in 1971 and later earned her master’s degree. For 32 years, Judy dedicated herself to teaching in the Escambia County School System, nurturing young hearts and minds and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Judy and Mike’s journey continued to Pensacola, where they welcomed their children: Michelle “JT” Willis, who resides in Alabaster, Alabama, and James Michael Holloway “Danielle,” who lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Judy’s greatest joy came with the arrival of her beloved grandchildren: Hayden, Hannah, Hunter, Holden, and Hudson. Her love for them knew no bounds, and her family soon recognized that her affection for her grandchildren was truly extraordinary.

Throughout her life, Judy formed deep and meaningful friendships—with fellow teachers, lifelong classmates, and her church family at First Assembly of God. She was a beacon of strength and faith. As one cousin lovingly recalled, “When I think of Judy, the word that comes to mind is strength.” Judy’s unwavering trust in God carried her through illness and adversity; she faced each challenge with courage, always tough in spirit, but her heart remained gentle and kind.

Judy’s love also embraced her loyal companion, her sweet Pomeranian, Brie. Brie accompanied Judy everywhere and was her constant source of comfort and joy. Judy’s devotion was so great that she saw to it Brie was cremated, ensuring they could be laid to rest together—forever side by side, just as they were in life.

Judy Lynn Register touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion. Her warm spirit, devotion to her family, and positive influence on generations of children will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Pensacola First Assembly Of God, 4301 Bayou Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503, US, on August 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. Pallbearers for Judy's service will be: Willie Small, Ronnie McNesby, Roy White, Matthew Holloway, Paul Register, Mark Register, Chris Register and Jon Register. She will be laid to rest at Bayview Memorial Park.
