Katherine T. Price

Katherine was born in Kimball, West Virginia to Fortunato and Conchetta Roschella Battlo as the fifth child of eight. Katherine graduated Welch High School and attended Little French’s Beauty Academy in Bluefield, West Virginia and was then owner and operator of Katherine’s Beauty Shop for seven years.

June 4, 1950 Katherine married the love of her life, Billy Ray Price of Bluefield. She resided in Bristol, TN, Pearisburg, VA, Charlotte, NC, Parkersburg, WVA, and Pensacola, FL where she spent most of her married life. Katherine was first and foremost a devoted wife of 66 years and an inspiring mother to her children. She was a creative homemaker, sharing her talent and love of flowers, sewing and Christmas decorating. She was a devout Catholic and a founding member of St. Paul’s Catholic Parish.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, (Dom, Frank, and Tony), sisters, (Angeline, Melly, and Mary), and by her first born son, Billy Ray Price, Jr.

Katherine is survived by husband, Billy; sister, Jean Battlo of Kimball, West Virginia; Children: Rosemary (William) Whibbs of Pensacola, FL; Helen (Mark) Greve of Birmingham, AL; Billy Ray (Maureen) Price, II of Moultrie, GA; eleven grandchildren: Rosemary (Clayton) Roberts, Deirdre Whibbs, Jason Whibbs, Adrianna (David) Williams, Matthew Greve, Christine Greve, Kaitlyn Price, Dominic Price, Jessica Price, Samantha Price, Donovan Price, two great-grandchildren: Caspian and Emerson Roberts, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
