On Thursday, September 20th 2018, Kenny Raye Andrews passed away at the age of 68. Kenny was born on November 17, 1949 to Dewey and Adis Andrews. He proudly served in the US Army’s 173rd Airborne Division during the Vietnam war where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat. He was married to Martha Andrews and together they raised two sons, Brad and Stephen, and traveled the country until she passed away in 2008. He married Marcia Andrews in 2011 and they spent 6 fantastic years together until she passed away in 2017.
Second only to the love for his kids, Kenny had a passion for traveling with friends and family and always looked forward to his next trip. He believed that no project was too big, and with a little help and determination, anything was possible. Kenny was not a man of many words. Instead, he helped his loved ones overcome any and all obstacles in their path. Kenny was always there for you, whether it was help with technical work, a ride, or simply advice.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Adis and his wives Marty and Marcia. He is survived by his children, Brad and Stephen, his brothers, Wayne and Glen, and scores of friends and family that loved him.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at the Oak Lawn Funeral Home at 3:00 with visitation at 2:00.
