

Kenneth Lee Boysen (Ken) born May 30, 1932 in Glenn Ellynn, IL to Walter and Hazel (Krueger) Boysen, was surrounded by his family when he passed away peacefully on May 13, 2014 after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, which led him to Pensacola upon his discharge where he remained, a longtime local businessman. Ken owned and operated Boysen Sheetmetal and Raincarrier, Inc., from the late 1950’s until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and was a past member of various civic organizations, including Rotary Club, Shriners, and his personal favorite, the FRSA, Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association, for which he had acted as past President.
He was a multi-talented master craftsman whose hobbies included historical model ship building, photography, and numerous metal works made with the hand of an artisan. He was known for his incredible volunteerism, whether with church, family or civic organizations, and mentoring his children and stepchildren to enable them to carry on some of the exceptional works of art he created, as well as helping them with their own creations.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Kroll (Chuck) and Sandra Boysen, and his step-children, Donna Allen (Don), Keith Duck, and Alison Parish (Jim), as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
