I first met Kent when we worked together at Scotto's in 1995 or 96. We'd open the place for lunch.. He was a day cook and I think it was maybe 4 or 5 of us working. He made me a tape. One side was The Unemployed and the other was Plaid Girl. After listening to his  music, I asked him if someone hurt him. He said yes, but I'm ok. <3 Months later, Plaid Girl played at Sluggos for NYE. He put my friend and I on the guest list. We got to dance on stage with them for a song. I am not the most daring person, but I am glad I did that. It's one of my favorite memories ever. 
The last time I saw him was a couple months ago. He was happy to see me as always. He treated everyone with kindness. The world is a little less bright without him. My thoughts are with those who were closest to him.
