Kimberly Lynn Leach 1968-2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Kimberly Lynn Leach announces her sudden passing on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the age of 49. Kimberly was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on August 18, 1968, but spent the majority of her life and grew her family in Pensacola, Florida. She was known for her love of Pensacola Beach and fishing with her friends and family. Kimberly graduated from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in social work and went on to work in child protective services. A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held on July 12, 2018, at 2 pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola. A catered reception will follow the service, where friends and family are invited to share memories of Kimberly. I will never forget the day I saw Kim in a high chair at her grandmother's house in Columbus. She was happily enjoying a meal and experimenting with different food groups and how to eat them. As we were being entertained by her antics, she picked up a banana that had been pealed for her, examined it thoroughly, and then began to jam the entire banana into her mouth, smashing it until she had managed to push the entire thing all over her face. May God's grace pour over Janice and Glen and Tommy.
