

Kurt Everitt Bonifay passed away on September 2, 2015 at the age of 77. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on August 16, 1938 and lived all of his life in Pensacola, where he met his soul mate and wife of 51 years.
Kurt served in the U.S. Army and was in the 101st Airborne. He owned Ferry Pass Lumber Co. and was in security sales at Nyco Security before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Dottie Bonifay, and sister Wallyce Vandergriff.
Kurt is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth; children, Rhett Bonifay (Tina) of Pace and Sarah Tarkus (Ernie) of Pensacola.
He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandchildren: Savannah and Seanna Bonifay, and James Tarkus.

Visitation will be at Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home on Sunday September 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 7 at 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with the Reverend Dr. Glenn Rohrer officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Hartley, Frank Calhoun, Cecil Lanier, Charlie Nye, Richard Everitt, Jimmy Leath, Britt Landrum, and Jon “Zip” Williams.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Covenant Hospice and/or Holy Cross Episcopal Church.
