Larry was born in Logan, OH on May 10, 1940. He left us on January 17, 2021.
Larry was a great husband, dad, grandfather, and brother. One of his greatest accomplishments was being a soldier in the US Army. He served two tours in Vietnam and became a helicopter pilot. He was a decorated Major at his retirement after 20 years of serving his country. After the military he moved to Pensacola, where he dicided to serve and protect our community for 18 years with the Escambia County Sheriffs Office.
Larry loved his home state of Ohio. Every knew what a huge Ohio State fan he was. He spent every Saturday during football season glued to the TV watching his Buckeyes play. Sometimes even watching them in the front room because he married an Alabama fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Debra. They loved to travel together. They loved to just hang out at the house watching TV together. They loved just being with one another.
He had two daughters Monique Lattimer, of Pensacola, FL and Rachel Blackmon (Kris), of Pace, FL. His daughters gave him his greatest gift in life, his grandchildren. He LOVED being a grandpa and Pawpaw. His grandchildren are Shawn Vestal (Dana) and Joe Vestal (Brittany) of Pensacola, FL, Chris Vestal (Amanda) of Summerville, SC, and Rylee McCormick of Pace, FL. He also had six great grandchildren.
He also survived by his brother Jim (Ricki) of El Paso, TX and his sister Marvetta of Venice Beach, CA.
He had so many special people in his life. He was a great man and will be missed greatly.
