Larry A Macon

Larry Macon, born August 1, 1941, passed away on July 7, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Denise Macon; his beloved dog, Ollie; his son Mark (Courtney); his daughter Leigh Ann; many first and second cousins; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Sylvia, and his sister, Diane Garner.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Larry later moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he and wife Pat raised their two children. His career included banking, many dedicated years at Baptist Hospital, and a long service with the Pensacola Interstate Fair’s cash office. In 2008, Larry married Denise and moved to Jacksonville, continuing his work with Baptist Hospital until retiring in 2022 to enjoy more time for golf and lunch outings with friends.

Larry was a devoted UK Kentucky basketball fan and proudly owned nearly every shirt and hat imaginable. He also remained a loyal Brooklyn Dodgers fan throughout his life. Deeply involved in his church and committed to helping others, Larry lived with generosity, humor, and steadfast faith.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 18th at the Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel and Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m., with services to follow.
