Larry Hayes Murphy 81, of Indianapolis, passed away January 25, 2015. He was born March 10, 1933 in Burlison, TN, to the late Rupert and Elizabeth Couser Murphy. Larry was a graduate of Munford High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of The American Legion. He married Patricia Lee Harris and they recently celebrated 46 years of marriage. Larry was a service technician for 3M for over 29 years, retiring in 1998. Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd. with funeral services Monday at 1:00 p.m. Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Murphy; children, Cynthia Babcock (John), Timothy Murphy and Kevin Murphy (Karen); grandchildren, James Harris, Joshua, Christina, Scott, Sam and Rachel Murphy; and siblings, Betty Wawrzon (Dale), Lina Stokes (Wayne) and Joe Murphy. A son, Michael Murphy, and brother, Gerald Murphy, preceded him in death.
