Laura Smith McMillan, 88, of Pensacola, entered eternity early Friday morning, August 21, 2026. Mrs. McMillan was born in Birmingham, AL, on October 27, 1937, but grew up in Lake Wales, Florida. She has lived in Pensacola, FL, for forty-three years. Having a Methodist faith background, she regularly attended the Azalea Trace Sunday services.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, John W. McMillan; a sister, Elizabeth Anne Smith; two daughters, Sally McMillan Berry and Leah McMillan Nelson; four grandchildren, Emily McMillan Watford, Joel Peter McMillan, Jacob Ian Berry, and Cate Elizabeth Gunther. And two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Elaine Watford and John (“Jack”) McMillan Watford.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and a Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 1985 W. Nine Mile Road, Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Ships (www.mercyships.org).
