Lena Mae (nee Huffman) Hines passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of July 11, 2013 at the age of 97. Mrs. Hines was a native Floridian, a lifelong resident of Escambia County, and the widow of Leslie Hines, Sr.
She was the loving mother of Leslie Hines, Jr. (Carolyn), sister-in-law of Marjorie Hines Presley, grandmother of Leslie Hines, III, and Lisa Hines Crotts (Shannon), great-grandmother of Fred Schroeder, Jr., Aaron Schroeder, and Perscilla Schroeder Diemert (Jairun), and the great-great grandmother of Ashland Schroeder. She is also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews and a large extended family, to whom she was lovingly devoted.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday.
